A steel pipe is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. However, it will rust when it is exposed to the humidity in the air. Therefore, it will rust faster outdoor. If you would like to encourage the corrosion processes, water can be added.

A steel pipe is easy to cut yourself. Use an angle grinder or a hacksaw.

A steel pipe can be welded together with a MIG welder.
This type of pipe has a thicker steel core which makes it suitable to cut screw in the ends.

Black threaded pipes are often used for central heating, but they cannot be used for utility water.
Threaded pipes have many possibilities for use, e.g. a wardrobe, clothes rack or railing.
