An electro-galvanized threaded rod has a protective zinc coating that prevents rust. If the rod is to be used in a highly exposed environment, such as frequent contact with water, we recommend choosing a stainless steel threaded rod.

Electro-galvanized threaded rods can be used both indoors and outdoors as they do not rust.

They fit standard M-thread bolts commonly found in hardware stores.

A solid galvanized threaded rod is easy to cut yourself. Use an angle grinder or a hacksaw.

Note that the cut end will not be galvanized. It is recommended to apply some metal paint to protect it from rust.

Electro-galvanized threaded rods can be embedded in concrete and used to secure a pre-drilled component with bolts.
