5 mm thick Corten iron borders. Corten steel is harder than ordinary steel and rusts to a nice uniform auburn colour. The advantage of corten steel, as opposed to ordinary steel, is that sorten steel only rusts on the surface, whereas ordinary steel rusts all the way through. This means that sorten steel offers longer durability.

120mm height is suitable if the iron border is to function as a lawn border right above ground level. In case you wish the lawn borders to stick up even higher, you may choose 150mm or 200mm.

The garden architect's choice is solid iron borders as garden bed boundaries. Iron borders provide great and efficient boundaries between lawn and garden beds, or between gravel and garden beds.

Iron borders for garden beds can easily be cut with an angle grinder.

Mounting:

Place a string and use a spade alongside the string in order to make a straigh groove. Place the iron border in the groove. You may knock the iron border in place with a rubber hammer, so that it is not damaged.

Make sure that the iron border is low enough so that the lawnmower can pass without damaging the blades.
